Clarus Systems and HP Software Executives Share the Spotlight in Unified Communications Session at HP Software Universe 2010

Session Addresses Nuances of Communications in Business Service Management

WASHINGTON, D.C. & REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (June 8, 2010) -- Clarus Systems, Inc., a leading provider of integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) management software and services for Unified Communications, today announced that Gurmeet Lamba, SVP Engineering, will be participating in session on Unified Communications, titled "Managing IP Telephony and Unified Communications as a Business Service."  Co-hosted by Kenneth Gott, Product Marketing Manager, Network Management Center, HP Software, the session (ID# 1564) will take place on June 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at HP Software Universe which is being held at the Gaylord Convention Center, Washington, D.C.  Clarus Systems will also be conducting product demos of their monitoring and testing technologies at the Clarus Systems booth, #601.

Lamba and Gott will convey the common obstacles that companies with unified communications are facing.  The pair will present real life examples and case studies on how HP’s Network Node Manager (NNMi) and ClarusIPC together provide a seamless unified business service management framework for enterprise network and communications infrastructure.

The audience will also learn about:

  • Can IP Telephony and Unified Communications be managed as a business service?
  • What does it mean to be ‘managed as a business service’ in the context of communications?
  • The Telephony life cycle – how to monitor and troubleshoot IP telephony and unified communications issues.
  • Insight from hands-on practitioners about, service performance, change detection, and proactive testing to ensure impeccable service availability of network, voice, and unified communications services for business users.

““Reliable communication services are paramount in today’s fast moving business world,” said Lamba.  “All it takes is one bad conference or voice call for a company to lose revenue.  The need for comprehensive management and monitoring solutions has never been more necessary.  To not have one is surely a risky proposition.  We will show the audience how to mitigate that risk.”
