Brendan F. Reidy

Brendan F. Reidy has held numerous senior executive positions in the software and telecommunications industry. Immediately prior to joining Clarus, he served as a Venture Partner and Entrepreneur in Residence for Trident Capital a private equity firm based in Palo Alto, California. Brendan held a variety of senior executive positions at Qwest Communications International/US WEST, including Vice President of International Business Development, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Executive Director of Strategic Marketing. Prior to his service at US WEST, Brendan served as Vice President and General Manager of Litton Integrated Automation, which provided large-scale document imaging solutions. Brendan was also Co-Founder and Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of Software Alliance Corporation.
He received his A.B. from Stanford University and M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Brendan serves on the board of eGistics, Inc. and Aran Technologies. |
Gurmeet S. Lamba

Before joining Clarus Systems, Gurmeet was Director of Engineering at Avaya, where he led the R&D division for it's Unified Communications Solutions portfolio. He was responsible for all aspects of product development, leading a team of up to 300 engineers distributed across US, Europe and Asia developing IP Telephony applications. Gurmeet managed a portfolio that accounted for more than 85M voice mailboxes deployed worldwide. At Avaya, he led the transition to IP standards based next generation Unified Messaging solutions, speech recognition & wireless based mobility applications. Previously, he was the Director of Engineering at the Octel Messaging Division in Lucent Technologies, where he was accountable for driving product development in both enterprise and service provider converged communications solutions, generating more than $100M annual revenue. Before that, Gurmeet held engineering leadership positions at AT&T Bell Labs, where he developed various enterprise telephony and networking solutions, for which he and his team were awarded the Bell Labs Presidents Award.
Gurmeet received his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi, an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and also completed the Executive Management Program at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. |
John McCormack

John brings over 30 years Financial and Executive management experience in global information technology businesses, including Transware Inc, BlueStar Solutions, Amdahl Corporation, Fujitsu, Analog Devices and GE. Most recently, John was EVP and CFO for Transware, an international multi media localization company, where he successfully completed an acquisition, integration and restructuring. Prior to that, John was CFO of BlueStar Solutions, Inc., an IT Outsourcing Services provider, based in Cupertino , California . At Amdahl, John was responsible for Global Logistics and Supply Chain management and previously served in CFO and Controller roles in Asia/Pacific Sales and Services, Storage Products Division, Ireland Manufacturing startup, and in Operations and Business Development roles in Customer Services, Distribution and Business Reengineering, as well as HQ staff roles in Corporate Operations and Administration, Information Systems and Treasury management. At Analog Devices, John was the startup CFO for their wafer fabrication Manufacturing operations in Ireland.
John is a graduate of University College Dublin (B. Comm.) and Pepperdine University , Malibu , Ca. (MBA). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (FCMA), and an Associate of the Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants (AIPA). He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and a graduate of the GE Financial Management Program. |
Kevin McGowan

Prior to joining Clarus Systems, Kevin was VP of Operations of Valiant Networks. In that role, Kevin designed performance management and verification solutions for service providers that included state of the art Technical Assistance Center ("TAC") and Network Operations Center ("NOC") software and systems. Prior to Valiant, Kevin served as VP of Next Generation Integration/Operations at Global Crossing. In that role, he was responsible for product evaluation, certification and OSS integration testing of VoIP deployment, as well as development and deployment of the Network Operations Center ("NOC"). At Digital Switch Corporation (now Alcatel), Kevin served as Director of the Customer Technical Assistance Center (CTAC) where he supervised a 7x24 support center for all switching and the Signal Transfer Point (STP) system managing 130 technical support staff. He was also responsible for the certification of all hardware and software releases at DSC and has extensive experience developing migration strategies that support the transition from a circuit switching to a packet switching network. |
Richard Whitehead

Richard Whitehead is responsible for developing business and partnerships for Clarus Systems. His rich technical background includes 20 years in Broadband and Baseband communications and specialized experience with network management technologies. As Chief Technology Officer for Clarus Systems, Richard leads strategic technology innovations as well as represents the company at industry events, including keynotes and panels on Unified Communications and ITIL. Most recently, Richard authored the successful whitepaper: Straddling the Divide between IPT and IT: Implementing ITIL to Optimize Your IP Telephony Investment. Previously he was VP Strategic Technologies for Micromuse Inc.His career includes data communications projects for the UK Ministry of Defense and LAN, WAN and emerging network management technologies for TSL Communications (later Retix Systems) and Spider Networks (now part of I ntel). At Spider he established the company's Remote Diagnostic Service business unit. Richard is a former chair of the DMTF Telecommunications working group, and was a charter contributor to the TMF's NGOSS Architecture.
Richard was educated at Farnborough College of Technology, and currently serves on the advisory boards of a number of technology companies, including two Bay Area start-ups. |
John McCaffrey

John McCaffrey brings 16 years of industry and consulting experience to Clarus. Prior to joining Clarus, he built rapidly growing, profitable professional services practices within a venture-backed, start-up systems integration firm (now part of CapGemini). He served as a key member of the leadership team responsible for growing the Strategy Consulting practice over 50% CAGR over 5 years. During his tenure he led the Communications & Media Industry practice and conceived, built and led the Customer Value Management practice. His experience includes Strategy, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Customer and Information Technology Strategy / Implementation. Prior to joining the consulting ranks, he held positions in Strategy and Marketing at US WEST (now Qwest Communications). In addition to the Communications industry, John has consulted extensively in the Financial Services industry. From 1988 to 1992, he served as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain.
John holds a B.S. in Engineering from Princeton University, an M.A. from Boston University, and an M.S. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management |

Don Dixon has been a co-founder and Managing Director of Trident Capital since 1993. From 1988 to 1993, Don was Co-President of Partech International, a private equity fund manager associated with Banque Paribas. From 1983 to 1988, he was a Managing Director of Alex. Brown & Sons. Earlier in his career, Don was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley & Co., and a Senior Account Officer at Citibank, N.A. Don serves as a Director of Epicor Software Corporation (EPIC), Evolving Systems, Inc. (EVOL), PGI, Inc., Merchant e-Solutions, Inc., and Qualys Inc. Earlier, he served as a Director of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), Anasazi Inc., BankAmerica Merchant Services, Inc. (BPI), BlueStar Solutions, Inc., CSG Systems International, Inc (CSGS)., InfoUSA, Inc., Pegasus Systems, Inc. (PEGS), Sygate Technologies, Inc. and Unison Software, Inc. (UNSN).
Don earned his B.S.E. from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Don is also an Executive Committee member of the SEAS Strategic Planning Committee at Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science. |
Bill Rossi

Bill leads Google's Enterprise marketing efforts responsible for promoting Google's search, email, calendaring and collaboration applications into organizations large and small. Prior to joining Google, he was CEO of Greenfield Networks, a leading Sequoia Capital-backed chip company that was acquired by Cisco in December, 2006. Prior to Greenfield, Bill was Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless Networking Business Unit at Cisco, which he successfully grew from inception to over $650M in sales. He joined Cisco as part of the Grand Junction Networks acquisition in 1995 whose products today comprise over $5B in sales at the company. Bill holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and a B.A./B.S.E.E. from Dartmouth College.
